The child like god of the Hindu pantheon, Lord Ganesha is the only one who develops a bond with people of every age group; he is a child with children and an adult with grown-ups and has been taking care of all since time began; and time itself began with his creation. Worshiping Ganesha is immediate; one just has to think of his form by closing the eyes to contact his ever-present mind. This brass sculpture depicts Ganesha in his dancing posture, enjoying his joyful dance and liberate mind. He dances here on a high-raised pedestal carved in multiple layered lotus patterns.

This Nritya Ganesha sculpture is carved with extreme peculiarities of his accessories and a sinuous body curve. He is clothed in a short dhoti barely visible from the waist under his large paunchy belly. The major attraction of this brass statue is its long deeply striated trunk that carries his favorite Mango and is decorated with a large check oval patch at the start. He is embellished with a dual layered necklace, waistbelt and a stylized fitted crown carved in a beautiful and ethnic style.

The six-armed deity is presented here in distinctive three color ranges- the royal chola in shade of brown, the lustrous natural brass in a shiny golden hue and the sui generis patina gold in a matte green having tinges of red and highlights of gold. He carries his iconic weapons parasu, goad, broken tusk, motichoor laddoo, pasa and a rice sprig in all his six hands. The large flappy ears are stylishly carved in thick edges and curved striations inside. This sculpture epitomizes exuberant activity and joy.
