Goddess Lakshmi Wall Hanging
Goddess Lakshmi Wall Hanging

Lakshmi carries her name from the Sanskrit word Laksme, meaning ‘goal’, thus she represents the goal of life which includes spiritual as well as worldly philosophies. Having a goddess Lakshmi sculpture in your house or place of work is said to be auspicious as she symbolizes wealth, prosperity and good fortune. The Goddess Lakshmi brass wall hanging that you see on this page is an apt artifact that can ornate the place spreading vibes of spirituality and aesthetics. Goddess sits here on an extensively blooming lotus pedestal, carved in multiple layers of beautifully carved flower petals having three lines each chiseled on them and a fan shape base in regular semicircular layered carves supporting the large flower.

She sits here in a cross-legged posture, adorned in graceful silk sari having a heavy carved border and finely settled pleats along with a heavy border blouse. Although this sculpture is carved in its regular iconography, but what attracts most are the lavish necklaces of varied sizes and each having a large floral pendant along with a similar kamarband and long jhumkas. She is glorified with a haloed crown decorated with précised designs and a temple like top.

Her palms are tattooed with a sacred symbol and the anterior hands are positioned in abhaya and varada mudra respectively. The four rear hands carry her iconic symbols of identification namely, two lotuses each, carved kalash and a sea snail symbolizing a conch shell or shankha. Her facial expressions reflect her splendor, radiance and abundance that flows from the divine.
