A creative martial and a born warrior, Lord Kartikeya was the one who defeated the demon Tarakasura. It is said that by worshipping Lord Kartikeya, also known by the name Skanda or Murugan, one can achieve knowledge and eternal youth. He is iconography here as a handsome young warrior god who stands in a posture of blessing devotees of fearless life with that soothing smile on lips indicating towards the Lord’s success of his mission of killing the demon.
